Miruna Drăgan (b. 1975) was born in București, România and settled on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy. She lives alongside the Rosebud River in the Alberta Badlands and teaches at the Alberta University of the Arts. With a broad range of methods and materials ranging from works on paper to weaving, moving image and installation, Drăgan integrates natural geometries and the physics of colour with knowledge gathered through dreams and synchronicities in works that embody themes of dispersion and transcendence.
