Heather Goodchild (b. 1977) is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist exhibiting since 2001.
Working across media including painting, textile, ceramic and installation, she explores
themes including symbolism, ritual, and the collapse of the hierarchy of artistic
disciplines. Her practice highlights the integration of craft into a contemporary art context,
most notably through her work using the folk technique of rug hooking.
