Originally from Lac-Mégantic, Jasmin Bilodeau worked with the BGL collective from 1996 to 2021. The trio's impressive career led them to present over 40 solo exhibitions and participate in nearly 100 group exhibitions and events in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia. With his colleagues, he represented Canada at the 56th Venice Biennale, completed major public art projects in Montreal and Toronto, and received numerous awards, including the CALQ Prize for Work of the Year in the Capitale-Nationale region, the Work-Wilson Prize, the Victor Martyn Lynch-Stauton Prize, two OAAG Best Installation and Design Awards, the Graff Prize, the Videre Visual Arts Event Prize, and the Duchamp-Villon Prize. Eager to continue his artistic journey with enthusiasm, Jasmin Bilodeau is now pursuing a solo career. In 2021, he completed a residency in Nantes, France. He lives and works in Quebec City.
